Wood, a white shade, and light that comes through the weave rather than out of it.

Wood and fabric, and nothing else. The body is bamboo and wood — cut, sanded and bent rather than cast, so the grain still runs across the finished piece, and the shade is left plain white. The lamp sits behind that fabric, and the weave turns it into an even glow instead of a hard edge. It takes an ordinary E27 screw bulb — the same fitting as most lamps in the house — and you pick that bulb yourself.

Pick it by height. The squat one is as wide as it is tall, which suits a nightstand or an open shelf — near enough to reach, low enough to read past. The tall one carries the light above everything else on the surface, which is what a hall console or a sideboard behind a sofa usually asks for. Same wood, same shade, so the two read as a pair even in different rooms.
