Booker is a bar of pale ash wood with spot heads that swivel to follow whatever you want lit.

The bar sits flat against the ceiling or the wall on a round boss at its middle, and each cylindrical head clamps onto it through a swivel yoke with a metal ring around the mouth. The wood is genuine ash, so the grain runs differently on every fixture and no two bars come out alike. Every head turns 325° on its base and tilts a full 180°, which means you aim the light instead of flooding the room with it — counter, canvas, bookshelf, whatever needs it. Standard screw-base bulbs go in, so the warmth and the brightness stay your call.

What sits beneath the bar decides the length. Two heads suit a reading corner or a short run of shelves, where you want light in two places and nothing more. Three is the everyday answer over a kitchen counter or a picture wall. Four reaches far enough for a long island, an entry hall, or an open-plan room where one fixture has several jobs to do at once.
