Walker is a cone of quarried stone you can aim.
The shade is cut from natural travertine, and because the stone is porous part of the light escapes through the shade itself rather than only out of the open end. It mounts on a dark wood backplate through an adjustable joint, so the cone turns toward whatever you want lit. A pull chain switches it, which means it does not depend on a switch being within reach. Fit it with an E26 or E27 bulb of your choosing; nothing is supplied, and that is what keeps the tone adjustable.
Nothing here is configurable, so the only question is placement. It earns its keep where light needs a direction — over the side of a bed, above a chair you read in, or partway down a hall where the ceiling fitting leaves a gap.

Direction with a natural edge
Walker sets a travertine cone on a walnut color backplate, so light goes exactly where you point it. It elevates the side of a bed, a favorite reading chair or a stretch of hallway.
Stone that glows as it shines
The travertine is porous, so part of the light glows through the shade itself as well as out of the open end. Walker lights what you aim it at and warms the stone around it.
Warm stone, dark wood
The yellow travertine and the dark wood make a warm, natural pairing that suits calm rooms. A pull chain switches it on, and switched off, the cone still looks sculptural on the wall.

Frequently asked questions
-
Beautifully. A matching pair gives each side of the bed its own aimed light and frames the headboard in stone. Buying two saves you 10 percent, three saves 20.
-
Yes, and that is the beauty of it. Travertine is natural and porous, so the texture of each cone is its own, and the glow through the stone looks different on every piece.
-
Warm and inviting. The stone takes on a soft honeyed tone as the light passes through it, and the cone sends a gentle beam toward your book, your chair or your bed.
