A chrome pole held under tension between the floor and the ceiling, with a single round acrylic shade. Nothing is drilled, nothing is wired into the ceiling, and the whole fixture lands in the few inches of floor a pole needs rather than the footprint a floor lamp usually claims. The shade sits high on the pole, so the light lands where a table lamp cannot reach.
