Himeros is glass spheres held on polished steel.
Steel and glass. Two glass spheres carry the whole output, and that is where the light leaves from — with glass instead of a shade, the source is the ornament. Chrome for the finish, a G9 for the socket, 3W for the draw. Overhead mounting is allowed too, not just wall — uncommon on a fitting like this, and handy in a hall with no spare plaster.
Chrome with white glass is the only version built, so the choices left are placement and orientation. Polished metal needs something to reflect, which makes a dark wall the strongest reading of it. Against white plaster it goes quiet and hands the whole job to the glass. Overhead, it becomes the thing people look up at.
