Thoosa is a rounded piece of quarried stone that happens to hold a light.
Metal and yellow travertine, and the stone is doing nearly all of it. The form is smooth and rounded with soft contours down the sides — something that reads as sculpture until you switch it on. Lit, the travertine's own texture comes forward as the glow moves through the pores rather than around them. One G9 socket, bulb not supplied.
Made one way, and it wants to be the only thing on its stretch of wall. In a lounge it holds a chimney breast or an alcove; in a corridor it gives a blank run something to stop at; in a bedroom it registers as an object first and a light second. Give it space and it repays the room.
