Palaimon swings a hood of stone out from the wall on a curve of wood.
The arm is wood, curved and left with a rustic finish, and the shade is a travertine dome suspended from it on a twisted cord. A globe bulb sits inside. The stone takes the hard edge off the light before it ever reaches the room, and the exposed cord is the detail that keeps the whole thing from looking machine-made. Every dome comes out of the quarry unlike the last one, so the patterning is specific to yours.
Three models, all the same size, differing in the shape of the arm — and two wood tones underneath them. Walnut is the deeper of the two and reads richer against pale walls; wood color keeps things airy. Whichever you pick, this is a fixture for the spot where a floor lamp will not fit: alongside a chair, over a nightstand, or at the entrance to a room where it greets you at eye level.
