Semele is a lit glass moon set on a piece of marble.
It pairs a natural marble base with a white glass globe, and no two bases carry the same veining — the stone is cut smooth and left to look like stone. The globe takes a standard E26 bulb and hides it completely, so what you see is glass lit from the inside rather than a filament. Put a warm 2700K Edison bulb in it and the lamp glows rather than shines, which is the whole point of a globe shade: light you can sit beside without squinting.
Three marbles, three different jobs. White is the quiet one — it lets the light be the only thing you notice, which suits a bedside table or a hallway console. Green has enough color to hold its own on a shelf that is already busy with books and framed pictures. Black reads as a solid shadow under the glow and looks best against a pale wall or a dark wood sideboard.
