Alethea stacks curved white acrylic around a chrome aluminum frame.
The shades are curved, softly waved panels rather than flat discs, so the LED behind them breaks into layers instead of throwing one wash. The aluminum body carries heat away and the acrylic keeps the output even, which is what lets you hang it directly over a table without a hot spot. The chrome finish reads bright against a white ceiling and picks up whatever else is polished in the room.
Three color temperatures, switched from the wall. Click an ordinary switch through 3000K, 4000K and 6000K to take a room from warm evening light to something crisp enough to work under. It comes in three sizes - 3, 6 or 8 heads, 17.7 to 30.7 inches across, and the two-section rod lets you set the drop where you want it.
