Pallas is a round of travertine with the light coming out from behind it.
The base is a disc of natural travertine, and the stone does the diffusing — light leaves softened rather than aimed, which is what gives it the eclipse quality the name plays on. Metal and glass complete the build. One G9 socket sits behind the stone; the bulb is yours to supply, and with it the temperature of the glow. Every disc comes out of the ground different from the last, so the pores and banding on yours will be their own.
Two sizes and two ways to switch it. The smaller disc suits a living room wall or a landing where it sits alongside other things; the larger one is the choice when it is meant to be looked at. Take the wall switch if the room is already wired for one, and the pull cord if it is not — that decision saves an electrician a trip.
