Kleodoxa is a square plate, a short neck and a cylinder of light.
Alloy and metal, put through plating, polishing and lacquer, assembled the way the original sets it out: a square backplate, a brief rounded neck, a cylindrical housing, all in the same material. Its head travels 90° vertically and 350° horizontally, which means you point it at the thing that matters. The LED sits inside the shade and diffuses on the way out, giving focus without a hard edge.
Black or copper plating. Black is the utilitarian reading and disappears against almost anything. Copper is warm and deliberate, and it belongs where the room has another metal to answer. Then the temperature, fixed at checkout rather than switched later: warm white beside a bed or up a stair, cool white where the light has actual work to do.
