Amphion holds three lights in a shell of stone, like a lunar phase caught mid-turn.
Three orbs sit inside a hand-carved yellow travertine shell, mounted on a wood base — stone, wood, metal and glass in one piece. The travertine is cut from natural rock, so the pores and the banding differ on every shell that leaves the workshop. It takes G9 bulbs, LED or Edison, which means the warmth of the light is set by you and not by the factory. The glow reads as three points rather than one flood, which is why it works where you want presence without brightness.
Two sizes and two wood tones. The shorter shell settles onto a stretch of wall by a doorway or over a console; the taller earns an entrance hall where nothing else is competing. Wood color keeps the whole piece pale and airy; walnut color grounds it and pulls the amber out of the travertine.
