Kallisto pairs a curve of quarried stone with a sphere of lit glass.
Travertine and glass, and nothing else in the material list — no wood, no painted metal. The stone keeps the texture it came out of the ground with, and the sphere is glass, so the light arrives round and soft instead of as a beam. Behind it sits a G9, which takes an LED or an Edison filament. Travertine forms across geological time through processes nobody arranged, and the curve on yours carries a grain that stopped moving thousands of years ago.
One size, one finish, so the only decision is placement. It suits a bedside, a reading corner, or a short hallway wall — anywhere the fixture is meant to be looked at as much as looked by. A pair either side of a bed reads better than one on its own, because a curve wants something to answer it.
