Lysidike is a bare bulb that got a proper housing.
Brass and glass, described by the original as an upgraded version of the bare bulb — polished, spare, industrial. The details are small and deliberate: a diamond-knurled socket and a plain clear shade, nothing more. Because the glass is clear, the bulb itself becomes the ornament — buy a good filament one.
Four sizes and two finishes. Buy the smallest in numbers — a row along a corridor, or a cluster in a stairwell. The three larger ones differ only slightly and any of them will carry a hall or a bedroom on its own. Brass warms the room; black keeps it graphic. It also mounts on a wall, which doubles what you can do with it.
