Pherousa is a shelf that happens to glow.
Metal, yellow travertine and glass, built as a minimalist shelf rather than as a lamp on a bracket. The light radiates through the stone from within, so whatever you stand on it gets lit from below — a small plant, a photograph, a set of keys. Its G9 socket takes whatever bulb you like. The surface markings on yours belong to one block of stone and no other.
Two orientations, left and right, and that is the only choice to make. Pick the one that puts the ledge on the side you will reach for, or buy both and mirror them across a doorway. It earns its place in an entry hall where there is nowhere else to put keys, and beside a bed where it replaces a nightstand entirely.
