Aktis - Aluminum and Blown Glass Table Lamp
Aktis is warm light caught in a white bowl and let out through blown glass.
It is a contemporary take on a 1962 design, and the idea is simple: a glossy white aluminum reflector paired with a transparent blown-glass diffuser. The diffuser is adjustable, so you set the spread and softness of the light yourself rather than living with one setting. Fit a warm LED or Edison filament bulb and the light reflects off the white bowl and filters through the glass, which is why it reads as a layered glow instead of a bare bulb. It plugs into a standard outlet with an inline push-button switch on the cord — no wiring, no electrician. Bulb not included.
Two sizes, and they do different jobs. The small one belongs on a bedside table or a desk, where the light works close in and you will reach for the switch often. The large one wants a sideboard, a hallway console, or a side table beside the sofa, where it has room to fill the corner on its own. The body comes in three finishes: Black is matte and the quiet one. Silver is anodized and keeps the whole lamp cool and metallic. Coffee is the warm one, and looks best against wood.
