Mnemosyne is a pleated white shade carried on curved brass.
Brass and fabric, the arms curved and the detailing held back — the original's own reading of the piece. Pleats are what separate this from a plain drum: every fold catches light along its edge, giving the shade a texture that survives being looked at from across the room. An E26 goes in behind it, and the fitting wires into the wall.
They make it one way only, gold under white fabric, so what remains is where it hangs. This is a fitting that works in pairs — flanking a mirror, flanking a bed — because a curve reads better repeated than alone. On a single wall it still does well above a console, or where a staircase turns.
