Kore is two white glass globes glowing over a body of solid color.
The body is built from resin and metal, iron among them, finished in a single color, with two white glass globe shades, one larger than the other, set over it. Behind the glass sits a G9 base, so a warm bulb disappears into the shade and what you see is glass lit from within rather than a filament. It debuted at ICFF in New York in 2018 as part of the First Hand collection, and it still reads as a designed object first and a lamp second. It plugs in, with a push-button switch on the cord, so it goes wherever there is an outlet and needs no wiring.
Three body colors, three moods. White keeps things quiet and lets the glow do the talking, which suits a bedside table. Pink is the warm one and softens a dresser or a reading corner. Green has enough depth to hold its own on a bookshelf or a hallway console beside books and plants.
