Straton is a set of straight lines crossing in matte black aluminium.
Slim rectangular bars intersect at different angles on a single suspension, with lit acrylic running along their faces. The metal is matte black aluminium, anti-corrosion and rust-proof, so the finish stays even rather than going patchy at the joints. The acrylic is high-transparency - the light comes through soft and evenly spread, with no glare when you look up at it.
Two control options change how the fixture behaves. The three-step version cycles between 3000K, 4000K and 6000K from an ordinary wall switch - warm, neutral, then cool - but does not change brightness. The dimmable version comes with a remote and adjusts both colour temperature and brightness, which is the one to take if the room does double duty.
Two sizes are offered, 25.59 and 33.46 inches across, drawing 20W and 30W respectively. Both hang on a 1-metre adjustable cord at an overall height of 39.37 inches, are hardwired at 110V, and use an integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace.

Which version to order: take the three-step if it is going somewhere with a single job and a normal switch - a hallway, a bedroom. Take the dimmable if it is over a dining table, where you will want it bright for cooking and low for dinner. The 33.5-inch is the one for a living room; the 25.6-inch suits most other rooms.
