Nikippe puts a downlight on the end of an arm and lets you argue with it.
Stripped-down metal: a disc base holding an unobtrusive switch, anchoring an L-shaped arm that ends in an LED downlight. Both ends of that arm tilt and rotate, so the beam can be sent at a book, at a wall, or straight at the floor without unscrewing anything. Every finish runs at a warm 3000K, and a dimmable version is sold alongside it.
Four finishes split into two moods. Black and white are the disappearing pair — one against dark paint, one against plaster. Gold and sand nickel cost slightly more and are worth it where the fixture gets noticed instead of overlooked: a study wall, a hallway with nothing else on it, the bedside that ends up in photographs.

The Triac version is the one to take if it is going on a dimmer — pair it with a Triac dimmer switch, which is not supplied. The standard version is not dimmable at all.
