Iole - Carrara Marble and Glazed Metal Table Lamp
Iole is a piece of Italian marble lit by its own glazed metal reflector.
The base is Italian white Carrara marble, and no two pieces carry the same veining — the pattern you receive will not match the photos, which is what real stone does. The reflector is curved glazed metal, and it takes the bulb's light and bounces it off that glazed interior into a soft, wide-angle glow rather than a hard spot. Put a warm 2700K LED or Edison filament bulb in it and the light settles into the room instead of sitting on top of it. It plugs into the wall on a cord with an inline push-button switch — no wiring, set it down anywhere and press the button.
Two sizes, three shades. The smaller lamp is the one for a nightstand or a desk, where the glow is close and personal. The larger one holds a sideboard or a hallway console, where it has to be noticed from across the room. Black is the graphic choice — a dark reflector against pale stone. White keeps everything quiet and lets the marble veining do the talking. Green has enough color to hold its own on a shelf that is already busy.
