Orpheus throws its light upward, the way a torch bracketed to a stone wall used to.
A travertine cylinder sits on a wooden mount, and the projection is upward rather than down — light that climbs the wall instead of pooling on the floor. That single decision is what gives it the medieval reference without any of the costume. Its LED is sealed in at 3000K — the warmth is fixed, and it is the right warmth for the stone. A common switch or a button switch runs it.
Two finishes, both pairing wood with the same beige stone. Walnut carries a corridor well; wood color stays pale, which is what a stair or a sleeping room wants. Because the light goes up, it works best where there is wall above it to catch the glow — which makes it a natural fit on a staircase or in a room with height.
