Laomedeia sets an opal globe against a plate of warm stone.
Yellow travertine with metal and glass in the build. The globe is opal, the glass that turns a bare bulb into an even round light instead of a hot point, and behind it sits a G9. The stone keeps the texture and tone it came out of the ground with — earthy and irregular against a globe that is perfectly regular, and that contrast is the piece. Travertine forms through processes nobody arranged, so the stone on yours is one of one.
Three sizes, and the globe stays much the same across them — what changes is how much stone sits behind it. The smallest keeps the stone tight around the globe and suits a bedside or a narrow hall. The middle size gives the stone more room and reads well on a bedroom wall. The largest is the one to take when you want the stone noticed before the light, in a living room or an entry.
