Hippothoe is a cylinder on a pivot, stuck to the wall without a single wire.
Metal and acrylic, the head riding on a rotating joint that lets you re-aim it after the unit is already up. Nothing gets wired: the base goes on with adhesive tape and the lamp holds to it magnetically, so it lifts off in one movement when the battery wants topping up over USB. Its LED runs through three temperatures — warm, neutral, cool — which lets one fitting handle reading, dressing and the two-in-the-morning trip to the kitchen.
Two finishes and a single size, so black or white is the whole decision. White settles into a light-colored wall until it stops reading as an object at all. Black stays visible and works better as a deliberate mark — beside a bed, or repeated along a hallway. Since nothing is wired in, getting the position wrong costs you nothing.
