Stilbe is a line of light standing on a wooden stem.
A slim wooden body in ash or walnut, topped with a frosted acrylic strip that carries the LEDs. Because the source is a line rather than a point, it never lays down one hard shadow — the whole strip lights at once and the room fills evenly instead of in patches. It draws around 22W and comes with a remote, so you can take it down to a low evening level without standing up. The frosted acrylic keeps the diodes out of sight.
Pick the wood you already own. Walnut is darker and reads deliberate beside mid-century furniture and dark floors. Ash is paler and close to invisible in a Scandinavian room. Either way it takes almost no floor, which is the whole point — it fits the gap between a sofa and a wall.
