Melobosis is a ribbon caught mid-swirl and lit from within.
Metal, aluminum and acrylic, shaped after flowing ribbons by the original's own account, with the diode built into the form rather than dropped into a socket. It gives 850 lumens at about 10W in warm 3000K — enough that no other lamp is needed on that wall, and warm enough to sit behind a sofa all evening. The swirl is the whole idea: light and shadow land in bands, and the wall becomes part of the fixture.
Gold and black is the version the design was drawn for — the swirl reads clearest when two metals chase each other around it. All black is the restrained answer and works against pale paint, where the shadow does the work instead. White disappears against white paint and only arrives when you switch it on, which is either exactly the point or a waste.
