Alphaios is a firework, frozen at the moment it opens.
Slim metal tubes push out from a central hub in every direction, each one ending in a small bulb, so the light leaves the fixture as dozens of separate points rather than one flat wash. Lit, it scatters highlights across a ceiling and a table at once. Unlit, it still earns its place - electroplated aluminium in gold or chrome, sharp lines, more sculpture than fitting.
Gold or chrome changes the whole mood. Gold warms a dining room and flatters wood and brass; chrome is cooler and cleaner, and sits well in a room with glass, marble or a lot of white. At 22 inches across and 22 inches tall it suits a table for four to six, a hallway with a bit of height, or the corner of a living room that needs a focal point.
Eight E14 sockets, 5W maximum each, and the bulbs are not included - which is deliberate. You choose the bulb, and with a fixture like this the bulb is half the look. Small clear globes keep the firework effect; frosted ones soften it. It covers roughly 108 to 161 square feet, so treat it as a feature light with a lamp or two nearby rather than the sole source in a big room.
