Thirty-six separate lights on Gorgias, packed close enough that the whole cluster works as one shape. The stems come off a central hub at staggered lengths, so the outline is a loose sphere and the eye keeps finding new points in it. The frame is painted metal, in black or gold, and the shades are PVC. Bulbs are included — thirty-six on a G4 base — so there is nothing to buy alongside it.
Pulled up close to the ceiling Gorgias works as ordinary room light in a bedroom; let down over a table it becomes the thing everyone looks at. Either way it is the same fixture — the cord adjusts and nothing else changes. It is ambient light — the kind that fills a room evenly instead of picking out one corner of it.
