Tyro ties a knot in its own cord and hangs the light from it.
A circular wooden base sits against the wall, and a black cord descends from it, tied into a decorative knot on the way down. At the end hangs a slim diffuser capped with natural travertine — the cord is structure and ornament at the same time. The glow goes downward, close and contained, so it keeps a chair company rather than lighting a room. It runs on a G9 bulb, supplied by you.
It arrives one way, and it belongs where something handmade is welcome — over a nightstand, at the end of a corridor, next to a chair in a corner. The knot is the whole character of the piece, so give it a plain wall and let it be seen. A pull chain means the wiring can be wherever it happens to be.
