Rhode is a pleated shade that looks folded rather than molded.
The shade is resin and acrylic, pleated the whole way round, with a white resin rim closing the edge. Light comes through the folds unevenly on purpose, so the shade shows its own pleating instead of glowing as a flat disc. It takes an ordinary E26 or E27 bulb, whatever you already have in a drawer. And it mounts flush on a ceiling or on a wall, same fixture, same fitting — rarer than it sounds.
Four colors that behave differently. White is the one that disappears. Beige warms a room without announcing itself. Green reads almost like glazed ceramic and suits a kitchen or a hallway with something else green already in it. Orange is the one you buy on purpose, for a child’s room or a corridor that could use the interruption.

The same fixture mounts flush either way, which is rarer than it sounds. At 9 inches across and 6.3 inches deep it suits a hallway, a bedroom or a corridor with no room to spare.
