Hedone is hand-sprayed glass with the light coming through it, not off it.
The frame is iron and metal in copper or chrome, and every shade is sprayed by hand, so the color shifts a touch from one piece to the next — that is the process, not a fault. The sprayed glass spreads the light instead of throwing a hard edge, which is what you want over a table people sit at for hours. Each socket is a standard E26, so the bulb decides the mood: an LED for clean, even light, an Edison filament for something warmer and slower. Three suspension rods come in the box, and they can be combined to set the drop.
The three-light suits a breakfast table, a compact dining room, or a hallway that needs something on the ceiling. The five-light covers a full dining table or a kitchen island and holds a large room in a way the three never will. With the rods you can bring it close to the ceiling in a bedroom or drop it low over a table, and a custom length can be arranged if neither is right.
