Aether reads like a halo poured out of the stone and left there.
Yellow travertine on a solid wood base, with the LED integrated behind the stone. Travertine passes light rather than blocking it, so what reaches the room is warm and diffused instead of aimed, and the veining ends up lit from the inside. The wood grain and the luster of the stone are doing the same job from opposite directions — one grew, the other was deposited, and neither has been finished into looking like the other. Travertine forms through geological processes over a span nobody managed, so the piece on yours is its own.
One size, and the wood is what you pick. Walnut is the darker of the two and sits well on a wall with some weight to it — a bedroom, a study, a hallway with dark trim. The lighter wood color recedes against pale plaster and leaves the lit stone as the only event in the room. Beyond that there is a Triac dimmable version, if you would rather choose the level each evening than live with one.
