Abarbaree - Fluted Glass Flower Pendant
- Hand formed fluted glass, brass holder
- Three glass colors, one brass finish
- Cable adjusts, and sloped ceilings work
Abarbaree is a hibiscus blossom made out of fluted glass.
Hand-formed fluted glass shaped as a hibiscus blossom, held in brushed brass, and modeled on lights from the Art Nouveau era rather than gesturing vaguely at them. The flutes catch and split the light the way pressed glass of that period was meant to. It wants a warm globe behind it — 2700K to 3000K is what the shade was drawn for, and a cold bulb flattens it.
Clear glass is the faithful choice and shows the flutes most sharply, so hang it somewhere the fixture will be admired on its own terms. Green reads antique and settles against timber or dark paint. Brown runs warmest and forgives the most — beside older furniture it looks inherited rather than bought.

Flutes catch and split
The glass is hand formed and fluted, and the flutes break the light up as it leaves rather than letting it flood out flat.
Give it a warm bulb
It was drawn for a warm globe, 2700K to 3000K. A cold bulb flattens the glass and loses the point of it.
Clear, green or brown
Clear shows the flutes most sharply. Green reads antique against timber or dark paint. Brown runs warmest and looks inherited rather than bought.
