Hesione wraps ironwork around a shade of opaque glass.
Metal, iron and glass. The ironwork is kept plain and the lines are simple, which gives it presence without visual weight — it does not shout, and it sits as happily in a modern room as a traditional one. Opaque glass blunts whatever burns inside it, and that leaves you ambient light rather than a beam.
All three finishes carry the same opaque shade, so the metal is the only variable. White vanishes into plaster and is the safe pick beside a bed. Black draws the ironwork out as a silhouette and wants a pale wall behind it. Gray is the compromise — visible, but not making a statement about it.
