Ersa is a mid-century idea that still turns to face you.
The shade is white polymer over a steel and metal frame, with a walnut accent and chrome on the body. It runs on a plug and a 59-inch cord with an inline switch, so it goes up with a screwdriver and a wall bracket rather than an electrician. The swivel hinge lets the shade pivot where it hangs, so you can send the light down onto a book or up across the ceiling without taking anything off the wall. The socket is a standard E26, which means the character of the light is your call — an Edison-style filament at 2200–2700K suits the shape best.
Four shapes, and they do not do the same job. Ball is the tallest of them and it earns its place beside a bed, where the light lands on the page and not on the person next to you. Round Ball is the even, all-round one for a hallway or a living room wall. Cigar sits between the two. Saucer is the wide, low one, and it is what a stairwell or the space above a console table is asking for.
