Aitne hides an orange ring inside the ceiling and lets it glow.
A cylindrical aluminum body sits flush with the ceiling, and inside the aperture there is an orange acrylic ring that gives the fixture its ember. That is the whole trick: from below you get a warm halo at the rim rather than a flat white hole. The body is white or black, the light is warm at 3000K, and nothing about the housing shows.
Pick the wattage for the job. The lowest is for layering — a run of them washing a hallway or grazing a wall of art. The middle sits comfortably over a worktop. The highest is what you want above a kitchen island or anywhere the fixture is the only light in the room. White trim reads quieter on a painted ceiling; black is the choice when the ceiling itself is dark.

If you want it on a dimmer, take the TRIAC version — an ordinary rotary dimmer will not drive it. The standard version runs off any common wall switch.
