Apseudes is a trumpet of metal cradling one glass bulb.
Two materials only, metal and glass. Its base curves out like a trumpet — the original's own word — and carries the bulb in full view, which makes the bulb itself the shade. Electroplated glass mirrors the light back and throws a halo onto the wall; white glass diffuses it and behaves. No bulb comes in the box, and that is worth saying plainly: you supply the E26, so you set the character.
Settle the glass first. Electroplated is the mirrored version and the one the fixture was drawn around; white glass is the quieter, more domestic answer to the same shape. Then the body: nickel, black, white and gold will suit most rooms, while yellow and red are for people who already know they want a colored fitting on the wall. It goes on a ceiling as readily as a wall, which is useful over a stair.
