Sao is cut crystal standing on polished steel.
Stainless steel and crystal — K9 by the original's account, meaning optical grade, cut and polished rather than pressed. Sealed inside the body is the diode itself: nothing to shop for, nothing to match. Cut crystal then does what cut crystal does, splitting one source into many and throwing the pieces across whatever stands nearby.
