Between the three sizes of Helike the shape never changes; what changes is the width and the number of lamps inside it. Clear glass shades ring an iron frame in a chrome finish, and the glass is transparent right through, so the lamps stay in plain sight. E14 bulbs come with it — four, five or six of them at 12W each, depending on the size. The wall switch steps the color through warm, neutral and daylight; it does not change the brightness.
Helike is a kitchen fixture before it is anything else, and the island is where it belongs. The size to take is the one that matches the counter under it, not the room around it. The middle setting is where most kitchens end up living — warm enough at dinner, clear enough to work under in the morning.
