Euterpe puts a cylinder of stone on the wall and lets you decide where its light goes.
The cylinder is yellow travertine, cut and left with the pores the quarry gave it, seated on a walnut base with metal tying the two together — stone and wood, neither of them finished into looking like something else. The LED is integrated and runs warm, and the fixture is hardwired to a push switch on the wall. Travertine forms through physical and chemical change across thousands of years, which is why the veining is a record rather than a pattern, and why yours belongs to no other fixture.
The real choice is which way the light leaves. The downlighting version drops a single pool onto whatever sits beneath it — a bedside table, a stair tread, the top of a picture frame. The up-and-down version adds a second wash onto the wall above, which lifts the eye up a corridor instead of stopping it at the fixture. Both come as a model A and a model B — the same size, a different shape — and either can be had as a Triac dimmable version if you would rather have the range than one setting.
