Nyx is travertine after dark — the same pored stone, the color turned all the way down.
Each shade is genuine travertine finished with a matte black coating, over stone that keeps its natural pores, its weight and its density. The shades sit on a walnut wood frame, so the fixture carries warm wood against cold stone wherever you put it. Every head rotates through a half-turn, which sends the light up the wall, down onto a surface, or anywhere in between. The LED is integrated and runs warm at 3000K, so what reaches the room is an even, unhurried light rather than a hard beam. Travertine is quarried rather than manufactured — the pore pattern under the black belongs to no other piece.
The count is really a decision about how much wall you want lit. Two is enough beside a bed or in a corridor, where anything larger starts to crowd. Three suits a vanity or a long console, where the light lands across the width of a mirror instead of in one spot. Four is for the wall you want noticed on the way in — a living room, a stairwell, the flat run above a sofa.

Two versions go to checkout. The standard one runs off an ordinary wall switch. The dimmable one wants a Triac dimmer alongside it, and gives you the range from a working light down to something you would happily leave on all evening. Tell your electrician one thing ahead of install day: the body is narrower than a standard US junction box, and a mounting accessory is needed to cover the opening.
