Doto is stone with the corners taken off it.
Natural travertine, cut with a gentle curve so the texture reads as landscape rather than as a block. Metal carries it and glass diffuses it. The curve is what keeps it from looking industrial, and the stone is what keeps it from looking generic — pores, veining and tone are different in every piece and none of it can be selected. Behind the white diffuser is a G9 socket, and the bulb you supply is what fixes the temperature.
Two profiles at the same size, so the choice is about which cut of the curve you like rather than about scale. Either settles into an entrance hall, a lounge wall, or the gap a headboard leaves above a bed. The pull chain keeps it viable in a room where the switch is on the wrong wall.
