Arke washes the wall twice over — once upward, once down.
The body is metal in a black finish, and the color is carried by the shade, in one tone or two. It takes a standard E26 or E27 bulb, LED or Edison, and a warm 2700–3000K lamp is what makes it glow rather than glare. Because the light leaves in both directions at once, it lays a soft wash over the wall instead of dropping a single bright spot. The bulb is not included, so you set the warmth yourself.
Go single-color when you want the light to do the talking: black or beige beside a bed, white in a hallway that gets little daylight. The two-tone shades are for when the lamp is meant to be the accent — green and red above a sideboard, pink and black up a stairwell, beige and green in a reading corner. You also choose the orientation at installation, running it along a wall or turning it upright beside a doorway, so one fixture suits either layout.
