Heliodora is a piece of travertine tipped back so the light spills upward out of it.
Body and shade are the same stone — one piece of yellow travertine, no metal shell, no shade to replace or straighten. The cut face sits at an angle, so the bulb inside washes the ceiling and the wall behind it instead of glaring across the table at you. Stone this thick holds light rather than bouncing it, which is why the glow stays warm even with a plain LED screwed in. The pitting and banding run right through the piece, not just across the surface.
One size, one stone, so the only thing to pick is the plug for your country. It arrives wired with a braided cord and a switch on the lead, which means it goes anywhere there is an outlet: a nightstand, a shelf beside a sofa, the corner of a desk where the ceiling light is far more light than the hour calls for.
