Lysianassa is a mushroom rendered in white ceramic.
Ceramic all the way through — fired, molded, then finished by hand, in a form the original simply calls a large mushroom. Ceramic means real weight on the table instead of plastic lightness, and the glaze catches light without throwing it back at you. Screw an E26 into it, anything up to 40W: an ordinary bulb, easily replaced.
White, one size, nothing else to pick — so placement is the entire decision. It sits low enough to slide under a shelf or into a window without blocking the view, and white ceramic stays quiet on a nightstand you wake up looking at. Out on a landing it becomes the lamp nobody bothers switching off.
