Hydros is a round of yellow travertine set against the wall.
Two materials, metal and stone — and quarried travertine is the whole proposition: every piece is marked differently, as the original points out. Round and sculptural in its own words, and it throws light downward rather than outward, so the wall beneath it gets grazed instead of the room getting filled. A G4 capsule does the work inside.
They cut it in one finish only, so the wall becomes the decision. Stone reads best close up — an entry, a hallway, a bedside — and it wants a plain surface behind it, because the veining is already pattern enough. Treat it as something to walk past and notice rather than something to read by.
