Melete is a pleated shade standing over a cream body.
Metal and fabric, with a pleated shade — the supplier's term, and the reason the whole thing reads retro. Underneath goes an E26 socket, 40W ceiling, and the box arrives with a bulb in it — just not a dimmable one; swap that out and the switch handles it. Pleating does what a plain drum cannot: it breaks light into vertical bands instead of laying it flat.
Cream is the body on both, so your decision is the shade. White is the cleaner reading, leaving the lamp pale and unassuming — the safe answer beside a bed. Light yellow warms whatever it touches and leans harder into the retro idea; put it where wood or brass is already in play.
