Korykia is a ceramic shade somebody wove by hand and then glazed white.
Every ceramic part is made by hand, the shade is technically woven rather than molded, and the surface is a matt whitewash glaze with a hand-carved texture. Openwork lets light out through the sides, not only downward, which is what throws pattern onto a ceiling. Even the electrical connections are closed and glazed over, and the flex is brown silk rather than plastic.
Three sizes, none of them just a scaled copy. Proportionally the middle size stands tallest against its width, so hang that one solo over a side table. The smallest counts as a mini pendant — order two or three and march them along an island. The largest goes wide and shallow, the right proportion for dining, since a deeper shade hides whoever is sitting opposite.
